About

mandee-flanders-headshot Hi, I’m Mandee.

In 2012, my husband, Tim (boyfriend at the time) and I were each looking to take a different path in our careers. Tim had been working various sales jobs in CT, and I was coming from a small town in upstate New York where I had been a social media consultant and blogger.

Through a Craigslist post, I discovered an opportunity to work as a brand ambassador for the very first time. I shared my new gig with Tim, who immediately asked, “How can I do that too?” We both jumped in with both feet running and haven’t looked back since.

In March of 2014, Tim started working promotional tours and traveling while I worked locally as an event manager in Boston. I was rooted at home, loving my gym and volunteering at the New England Aquarium, and told him I wasn’t interested in going on the road. After nearly a month home on my own during one of his trips, I decided I didn’t like being left behind…it was lonely and I didn’t want to live like I was single again. A few months later, we found the perfect tour for both of us, and we now travel and tour together as a team.

This blog is a space where I share my adventures from the road – the good, the bad, the struggles, the successes. I talk about things like:

  • How to eat well and stay fit on the road – this can be a challenge!
  • How to bank hotel points & make the most of your money
  • How to get along with your tour partner (especially when you’re married)
  • Fun landmarks everyone should visit while on the road
  • Keeping the energy up when the days get long and mush together

Will I be touring permanently? I don’t know the answer to that question, but I do know that traveling and getting to work alongside of my husband has been one of the best experiences of my life so far (in addition to earning the best money we’ve ever made). I am not tied down to one place and I don’t have kids. I am free to explore, work a job that I love, and share it all with my best friend.

I look forward to sharing my journey with you.
